Hello,
Coming up on Tuesday, March 8, UIEMSSIO will be hosting a blood drive at the CRWC. The drive is going to run from 11am-3pm, with an hour before and after for setting up/breaking down. If you would like to help run the refreshment table (hand out juice/cookies for the donors) shoot me an email and let me know what time you would like to volunteer. We'll plan on 1-hour shifts, with 1-2 people at a time. So shifts would be 10:45-11:45, 11:45-12:45, 12:45-1:45, 1:45-2:45, and then a shorter 2:45-3:30 shift. ALSO, I'm including a link that you can sign up for donation times. If you would like to donate, or recruit friends to donate, please send them this link. Spread the word! Blood Drive Donor Recruitment!
On March 8th we will also have our general membership meeting which will be a tour of the Joint Emergency Communication Center (JECC) for Johnson County. The JECC is the dispatch center for emergency responders in the county and it is a building designed to house community disaster planning when disasters occur in our area. We will be meeting at the UI Department of Public Safety which is located in the Southwest corner of the Old Capitol Mall on the lower level. We will be gathering in the lobby area of the DPS and Bruce will bus us to the JECC.
Anyone who is interested in being a UIEMS supervisor should hand in their application at the member meeting or email your application to compliance@uiems.org before March 8th. Supervisor position descriptions as well as applications are available when you are logged into the website at:

All UIEMS members can still sign up for UIHC ETC Shadowing and JCAS ride time on our website. We are also allowing members to sign up for multiple events so if you want to shadow more than once in a weekend feel free to sign up for any available slots.
Finally, we have a free BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR course this Sunday (2/27) at 1pm in the Iowa Room (IMU). If you are interested in atteneding, sign up on the website.
