Monthly Meetings
The University of Iowa EMS Student Interest Organization holds monthly meetings for our members to attend. These meetings are informative, fun, and pertinent to EMS. Monthly meetings vary in topic, but always include an outside skill, speaker, or activity for our members.
Meetings include:
- EMS Guest Speakers (JCAS, Fire Depts, Police)
- UIHC Emergency Physicians, Including the Air Care Medical Director as Guest Speakers
- UIHC Emergency Nurses, PAs, and NPs as Guest Speakers
- CPR Trainings
- Red Watch Trainings
- Tours of EMS Facilties, including the new Johnson County Emergency Communications Center, Air Care, and more
- Updates and Training Related Information
These meetings are in the evenings and generally less than 2 hours long. We encourage all of our members to attend to gain the most from their membership experience.
